The HZ-2006 DIN abrasion tester is designed for abrasion testing of elastomers, rubber, tires, conveyor belts, drive belts and footwear soles. A specimen is rubbed against specified abrasive paper over a defined distance, allowing wear to be evaluated by mass loss, volume loss or wear depth and compared with a standard reference rubber.
Applicable standards:
DIN 53516, ISO 4649, GB/T 9867, SATRA TM174 and BS 903.
Also applicable to GB 9867-1988 and ISO 4649:2002 for vulcanized-rubber abrasion resistance, and EN 12770:1999 and ISO 20871:2001 for footwear outsole abrasion.
